IRIS Electronic Travel Document
IRIS has designed and developed a Contactless Insert which can be embedded into the document. This makes it possible to manufacture truly secure, tamper-proof travel documents, visas, work permits, passes for immigration control etc., enabling the use of the system in automatic entry and exit points for frequent travelers, both in airports and border crossings.
The IRIS Electronic Travel Document utilizes the IRIS compression and decompression algorithm, encryption systems and a Contactless substrate inserted between the layers of a Book.
The mina capture system processes the application’s information, images and biometrics; compresses it and then encodes it into the special document – which is embedded with the IRIS silicon substrate.
Propriety readers are able to retrieve the encoded information and display it for purposes of identification and verification.
In the case of a mismatch, detection is instant. This same technology can be applied to other highly secure documents.
